Mission

Wayne County Family & Children First Council's mission is to promote coordination and collaboration among local government, not for profit organizations, businesses, and parents for the benefit of Wayne County's children.

 

To accomplish our mission the focus will be on the following objectives:

• Facilitate and promote local autonomy and decision-making

• Serve diverse culture, races, and/or ethnic groups

• Maximize financial resources to support services

• Build collaborative structures

• Coordinate appropriate, effective and cost-efficient services

• Increase family involvement throughout the levels of planning and services

• Support early intervention

• Encourage shared responsibility among systems
