Asset Development - A research based approach to positive youth development.

 

Child & Family Health Services - A grant program from the Ohio Department of Health that provides funding for our county Community Health Assessment, Child Nutrition and Fitness Education programs, and Early Prenatal Care awareness.

 

Child Nutrition & Fitness Coalition - Agencies, schools, service providers, and community members united to promote child nutrition and fitness in our community.

 

Children's Trust Fund - Four different parenting education programs for all needs.

 

Diversion Team - Uses a strength based approach to planning services and a flexible wrap around fund to prevent unnecessary placement of children away from their families.

 

Growing Together - A series of newsletters on child development available to Wayne County parents of infants, toddlers and preschoolers to age 6. Available on the Growing Together webpage.

 

Help Me Grow - A comprehensive home visiting program for pregnant women, infants and children up to age 3 to promote child development and parenting.

 

Parenting Points - Radio Show on WQKT FM on Mondays from 12:30-12:40 PM.

 

School Community Partnership - Partnership between Wayne County School districts and the Wayne County Family & Children First Council to improve academic outcomes.

 

Service Coordination - A process by which families with children that require or have the potential to require multi-systems for various needs can obtain coordinated services based upon the strengths and needs of the child and family.

 

Transitions Plus - Student assistance and work force development program for at risk students in 10 school districts and the Wayne County Family & Children First Council to improve academic outcomes.

 

21st Century Community Learning Centers - Before and after school programs and family events at various schools in Wayne County.

 

The Comprehensive Wayne-Holmes Re-Entry Coalition - Developed to identify policies and practices to serve the re-entry needs of juveniles and adults (who have children under the age of eighteen). Coalition participants include Family & Children First Council members and representatives from housing, transportation, and faith-based organizations in Wayne and Holmes Counties.
