SURVEY
OF STUDENT RESOURCES AND ASSETS
The mission of
the Wayne County Family and Children First Council is to promote
coordination and collaboration among local government, non-profit
organizations, businesses and parents for the benefit of Wayne
County's children. In June 2000 the Family Council officially
endorsed its asset building project being funded through its
Child and Family Health Services (CFHS) grant. The Family
Council and its CFHS program support projects that use an
asset based approach to services for children and families.

June 2000, the Wayne County Family & Children
First Council adopted the Asset Building
philosophy as a priority for all council programs. |
County
organizations and agencies have also adopted the asset building
philosophy into their work plans. The Family & Children
First Council has co-sponsored several workshops to help organizations,
families, churches and workplaces further develop the assets
approach. The Family & Children First Council
continues to promote the use of developmental assets in all
programs and funding opportunities.
It is our hope that a commitment to asset building becomes
a priority for every individual, every organization, and every
community in Wayne County.
